2010 HALL Napa Valley Merlot - Displaying a deep garnet hue, this wine teems with pronounced aromas of raspberry, black cherry, and cocoa with hints of violet, black spice, and cola. The palate possesses a laser focus of black raspberr y jam melded with rose petal and mocha. While the flavors are rich and persistent, this wine is in no way heavy or clumsy. It is well-def ined and well-balanced straight through its eloquent f inish. 2010 was an ideal vintage for Merlot, as slightly cooler weather allowed the fruit to ripen steadily and maintain excellent focus. We selected fruit from our cooler vineyard sites to craf t this wine and the result is vibrant and expressive.

Deep, dark ruby with tints of blue, this wine possesses extraordinarily deep, dark aromas of blue fruit, crushed violets, cool damp earth, and lavender. A silky mid-palate of blueberries, huckleberries, and baking spices flows into a rich, dense finish.
